Casio AX-250

Casio AX-250

Other than a calculator and a game, this watch with the [118] module pretty much had every feature Casio could think to squeeze in at the time in 1980…

It told the time, in 12 and 24 hour format, and also in analog and digital format.

It had the date (with day, date, month and year) but also added a full calendar for the current and following month.

It had a daily alarm, but also gave you the option of selecting from three melody alarms (Dixie, Greensleeves and My Darling Clementine).

Added to this was dual-time mode, a countdown timer and stopwatch too. Pretty cool huh?

They also made it in a range of finishes, to suit every budget.

The polysulfone (plastic/resin) AX1 and AX5, and nickle-plated AX-250 sold for USD49.95, but for an extra $10 you could get the chrome-plated AX-210 for USD59.95; and for those with very deep pockets, the palladium-plated AX-510 was a snip at USD79.95. Seems expensive, but they change hands for much bigger dollars now — should have stocked up in 1980!

    • Hi – fortunately the AX-210 appears on eBay reasonably regularly, keep looking they’re not hard to find (but they are, unfortunately, popular and expensive) !!

    • Take a look on eBay expired listings to get current prices and compare the condition of those ones to yours. AX-250 usually sell between USD80 and USD200 depending on condition. Also check AX-210 for similar pricing.

  1. Hello,

    Good Day.
May I check do you still have stock for polysulfone (plastic/resin) AX5?
Hope to hear from you soon.
    Cheers:)
